SSD SKETCH CHALLENGE 61

Its Tuesday again and time to have the fun of designing to a new and fabulous sketch over at Skipping Stones Design blog.  Our talented sketch artist this month is Amy Sheffer.  I have so enjoyed her sketches...lots of layering which can really be fun...pulling out papers one hasn't looked at in awhile etc.  This weeks sketch was no exception.  Here is Amy's sketch # 61.

I missed a birthday in my family this week and needed a Birthday card, belated sort of card, so for my take on this sketch used "Funny Coffee" Vol. 1.  I pulled out some designer papers that coordinated from an old Stampin-up set...can't remember the color..but it appealed to me today..seemed kind of sunny on a dreary winter day.   I used my spellbinders to die cut the circles. and embossed the inner one.  I then stamped the coffee cup twice on coordinating papers and paper pieced the cup together.  I raided my big basket of lace and found the banner lace which I have used before as a banner, but could not resist using it again...it looked kind of kitcheny if you know what I mean.  Then I found the tiniest little buttons that I accented the banner and cup with.  Very quick once I had it all layed out.  This is the card.

I hate being late forgetting anyones birthday, but it is nice to have a set that lets you acknowlege your "oops" and apologize.  So here is to you Anna, the girl who keeps one of my little brothers in line!!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY A LITTLE LATTE!  Hope it was a good one!
Don't forget to stop on over to the Skipping Stones Design Blog, and check out what the other Stamp Tramps created with the sketch....lots of cute ideas to inspire!  Why not upload your own card using the sketch and have a chance to win free merchandise from SSD.
Hope you all have a very blessed week.  Thanks for stopping by and please comment and let me know you were here!  Til next time........Tammie
