SPLITCOASTSTAMPERS CAS FALL DESIGN TEAM SEARCH

BOY!!  How bad is this....I have not posted FOREVER!!  The summer is always so busy where I work, and this summer, we ended up losing two of our long time nurses, so the pace has been extra hectic.  I had to put stamping on a hold for awhile, except I did enter some cards for the fair last week that I will try to share when I get them back next week.
However, my friends that stamp with me know my love for CAS creations, so when I saw that SCS was starting their Design Team Search for the fall term, I thought I would give it a go.  I found out late, so really had one night to create the first two entries.  I will share them with you in one post today.

The first challenge was to use the colors of your favorite sports team to create a CAS card....quite a challenge for me,since my team,  the Denver Broncos, has orange, navy and white as their colors...not my comfort zone.  Anyway, this is what I came up with:
I used the SU set Button Buddies...{.big surprise right}LOL, Tangerine Tango and night of Navy CS and inks.  Also Night of Navy SU buttons....love the coordinating things!

The second challenge was to create a card using your top 3 favorite tools excluding paper and ink.
I chose to use:
1.  Tim Holtz Distress Markers
2.  Hero Arts Sizzix Stamp and Emboss Textures Impressions combo
3.  Button and twine together

This is the card:

I colored the stamp with the distress markers, and then spritzed with water before stamping....LOVE how the colors blend.  I will list the colors at the end of this post.  When the image was dry, I embossed it with the coodinating Embossing Folder...hope you can tell by the pic....SOO WAY COOL!  Looks wonderful in real life.  I rounded one corner, and mounted the whole thing on Kraft CS {another fav}, after wrapping the bottom with the twine and button.

Hope you like.

Check out the other entries on Split Coasts CAS site.

The marker colors I promised to list are:  fired brick, rusty hinge, wild honey, barn door, forest moss, peeled paint. LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Happy Stampin,

Tammie
